2006 Oregon versus 2007 California Pinot Noir ~ Saturday
January 16th, $20
We will taste some stunning wines I collected on my trip to the Russian River area in September from perhaps the best vintage ever for California Pinot Noir. Can they beat 92+ point wines from Oregon’s 2006 vintage? We will find out.
2007 High End Oregon Pinot Noir #2 ~ Saturday January 23rd, $20
We tasted a number of high end Pinot Noirs in January of 2009. If you recall, one of the wines that did poorly was the Bergstrom Shea Vineyard. Well this wine just received 93pts in Parker and 92 from Stephen Tanzer recently and we will see how it has changed. At least 10 very nice wines in this tasting.
Napa versus Washington high end Cabernet ~ Saturday
January 30th, $40
Napa Cabernet is still regarded as some of the best in the world. We will see if Washington Cabernets measure up. This tasting will feature some world class wines.
French Burgundy ~ Saturday February 6th, $25
Some say Pinot Noir from Burgundy is the best in the world. Maybe you will think so after this tasting, maybe not. Regardless we will feature some beautiful wines from the birthplace of Pinot Noir.
Past Events
October 31st ~ Syrah Tasting
We will be tasting some of the best Northwest Syrahs with one two of their California counterparts thrown in. The tasting starts at 10:30 am and goes until noon. Cost is $18.00 for members. This is a rsvp tasting and you must email me at steve@lenneestate.com if you would like to attend.
November 21st ~ Pre-Thanksgiving Open House
We will be tasting everything we will taste the following week, but without the crowds.
