The Wines
The ancient sedimentary soils of the Yamhill-Carlton District produce Pinot Noir with black fruit flavors and rich textures. Lenné’s predominate soil type is peavine, a nutrient poor soil which produces small clusters and berries. The resulting wines have a concentrated mid palate and long finish, with black cherry and mineral components in the nose. Underlying all is the mocha character which is the aromatic signature of the terroir of Lenné.
The 2009 LeNez Pinot Noir
Our 2009 LeNez Pinot Noir is entirely made from estate fruit, with the same yields as our Lenné Estate Pinot Noir. This wine represents all five Pinot Noir clones planted at Lenné. The 2009 vintage produced soft, fruit forward wines that are delicious now. This 2009 Pinot Noir has black raspberry, black cherry and plum aromas with a distinct chocolate note. The mouthfeel is round and soft, with fine tannins defining the finish. Best to drink all the 2009 wines over the next 4 years $30.

This special Pinot Noir is a selection of some of our best barrels from the 2008 vintage. The 2008 vintage has been recognized as one of the best vintages ever in Oregon. This wine is just starting to open, but like all the 2008 wines, will need until at least late fall to start showing it’s true potential. The underlying chocolate aroma frames the strong core of black cherry and cranberry fruit. The wine has a full middle and long finish and will reward those who cellar this wine. Best in 5-8 years, but we believe will last 15 in the proper cellar conditions. Nearly half of the proceeds from each bottle are donated to the Wetlands Conservancy. $55

The 2008 Lenné Estate Pinot Noir
The Lenné Estate is selected from our best barrels and primarily two clones, 115 and Pommard, It should be noted that the 2008 vintage is arguably one of the finest Oregon vintages ever, producing highly aromatic, balanced wines capable of long term aging. We recommend cellaring all the 08 wines for a minimum of two years and think the wines will show best from 2018-2022 . This wine is just starting to open with black raspberry, strawberry and wild cherry aromas. The wine has the characteristic terroir driven mocha arom in the background and a persistent, long finish. $55~ 91 pts-Wine Advocate, 93-95 pts-Pinotfile, 90pts-WS, 91pts-Tanzer
The 2009 Lenné Estate Pinot Noir
The 2009 Lenné Estate Pinot Noir is a barrel selection of our finest barrels representing the best parts of the vineyard. The 2009 is consumer driven vintage, meaning that consumers love the soft, fruit forward character of the vintage. This wine has
more concentration than our LeNez bottling. Black cherry,
mocha and plum aromas frame the soft, rich mouthfeel.
Best drunk over the next 4 years. $45~90 pts-Wine Advocate

The 2009 Lenné Estate Clonal Designates
We normally select a couple of our finest barrels from each clonal block and bottle them separately. We are sold out of the 2009 clonal designates but anticipate we will release the 2010 designates in the late spring of 2012.
The 2007 Lenné Estate Pinot Noir
The Lenné Estate is selected from our best barrels and primarily two clones, 115 and Pommard. The 2007 was a
greatly underestimated vintage which yielded some great
wines from the top sites. We re-released the last 15 cases of this special wine and it is drinking the best of all our wines. Underlying spicy dark cherry, Asian spice, sandalwood and mocha aromas characterize this wine. On the palate the wine is supple and rich with fine grained tannins adding to the velvet mouthfeel. Drink now or hold for 5-7 years. $65~ 91 pts-Wine Advocate, 93-95 pts-Pinotfile,
